Sunrise at The Ocean

There’s something truly magical about watching the sun rise over the water as it transforms the sky and sea into a stunning canvas of color and light. As the sun begins to crest the horizon, the skies change from a deep, dark blue into a range of pinks, oranges, and yellows. The sun’s rays reach across the water, lighting up the surface and turning it into a shimmering, golden mirror.
The waves seem to dance and sparkle in the light,
and the sound of the gently lapping water is a soothing and peaceful background to the scene.
It’s a time of new beginnings as the sun rises and the day begins. Everything seems to come alive in this golden light, from the birds roaming the shore to the sea life surfing the waves. It’s a reminder of the beauty and power of God’s creation and a moment of peace and reflection in a world that can often be chaotic and overwhelming.
For all who admire the beauty of the sunrise at the ocean, this scene sparks imagination and inspires creativity. Whether you’re a poet, writer, or simply someone who appreciates beauty, this moment will stay with you long after the sun has set and the day has passed.
So if you have the chance, take a moment to watch the sunrise at the ocean, let the beauty and magic of this moment fill you with inspiration, and see where it takes you.
If not, read my poem and imagine, for a few minutes, that you are there.
Sunrise at The Ocean
Paint splashed as the colors burst into magnificence,
Seagulls dance having their white wings soaked in innocence,
The light broke itself into thousands of ardent hopes,
impatiently kissing all the ocean’s soothing waves.
Not far, a boat is ready for its new adventures
toward the unknown in search of lost ancient treasures,
A gentle breeze carrying love stories touched my cheeks,
I want to stop the time and sit here for days, for weeks.
Slightly tinged crimson embraces the glorious sun,
Heavenly blessings pour as the new day just begun,
I joyfully shouted in the crowd; let the music start,
A Hallelujah song has been born in my happy heart.

Lord, Teach us How to Love-Sonnet

Lord, teach us how to love, how to forgive,
Please teach us how to live as You would do,
To care for friends each day, fresh hope to give,
For we are one, with Christ hidden in You.

We are all Yours, Your kids, You made us all,
Let's find the peace on earth that You proclaimed,
Beggars or kings, the same, the great, the small,
You knew us before we were even named.

There is no red, yellow, no black, or white,
We walk the same roads under the same skies,
We all are longing for freedom and light,
Together where our spirit never dies.

Until then, we pray to You, dear Father,
Teach us how to live loving each other.

My Prayer

God, light in me the fire of my first love,
Make it burn in my chest just like before,
Gide my pen with Your whispers from above,
Let me follow Your footprints to the shore.

Give me a voice to spread Your love around,
Help me keep flame's faith alive and burning,
Make my poems clear, like a trumpet sound,
Make me wait for You and speed Your coming.

Your Spirit, let it in abundance flow,
Make my verses loving and touching, strong,
To change a life wherever they might go,
Please, make my life for You a praises song,

Sometimes, if I'm tired and about to fall,
Lord, give me Faith, Hope, and Love, above all.

Uvalde

A dark shadow wraps the earth,
springs of tears spring up in the saddened hearts,
never-ending rains of hurt and pain,
the sun fades,
the stars lost their light,
so many questions unanswered,
mourning songs echo the suffering souls,
the silence cries out,
the scream is silent,
parents weep for their children
"refusing to be comforted,
because they are no more",
the angels are sad,
God is crying,
way too early, white roses bloom in heaven,
way, way too early.

Memorial Day- Forbidden to Forget

We are forbidden to forget

A mother cried for many years,
making big crowns from her tears,
an unmarked grave was her altar,
where she has read hours from the psalter,
close to her heart, she kept the flag; red, white, and blue,
until she, later, went to you.

A beautiful young girl, just engaged,
had her white wings locked in a cage,
she blamed the world and God, the death,
for stealing her love and your sweet breath.

Two brothers miss you every day,
while they still played, you went away,
you promised you'll be back, and very soon,
decades they waited, June after June.

A father went to the grave too early,
so proud of you and your brave journey,
but still, the pain was cutting deep,
and one late night, he went to "sleep."

Today, we honor you, your sacrifice,
but our tribute will not suffice,
eternally, we are in debt,
we are forbidden to forget.

Chariots of Fire

In You is my freedom,
You broke all my chains,
All glory to Jesus,
Forever He reigns.

You won all the battles,
You conquered the death,
The chariots of fire
released at Your breath.

I gave you my life,
Now, I am Yours,
Your Grace is sufficient,
By Grace, I was saved,
You are The Way,
You made me Your Child.

I am on Your team,
Victory’s ours,
You died on the cross,
You made me Your Bride,
Through You, with God
I am reconciled.

In You is my freedom,
You broke all my chains,
All glory to Jesus,
Forever He reigns.

You won all the battles,
You conquered the death,
The chariots of fire;
released at Your breath.

We gave You our life,
We are all Yours,
Your Grace is sufficient,
By Grace, we were saved,
You are The Way,
Let’s all sing in choirs;

We are on Your team,
Victory’s ours,
You died on the cross,
You gave us Your power,
We’re Chariots of Fire.

Friendship is Love (Rondeau)

Friendship is love, without a doubt
that feeling you can't live without,
a shelter in the fiercest storm,
the blanket that will keep you warm,
some tears, some laughs, a song, a shout,

two friends who help each other out,
for trust is what friendship's about,
a friend will never do you harm,
Friendship is love.

If your new life's a total rout,
and when you feel that you're a lout
when you might lose your smile, your charm,
a friend will always lift your arm.
Good friends spread their true love throughout,
Friendship is love.
